New York Presbyterian Hospital

The Egg Electric team was truly honored to take part in the New York Presbyterian Hospital David Koch Pavilion project. Our skilled team worked alongside Turner Construction to create a modern, hi-tech, state-of-the facility that assists hundreds of thousands of patients with top medical staff every year.  The Egg team performed all intricate electrical work for all the procedure floors of the hospital while remaining within the allocated budget and deadline. The project implementation was equally state of the art- with very task of electrical work being planned using LEAN practices, and every electrical object fully coordinated and modeled using Building Information Modeling.

As part of procedure floors, EGG installed all electrical for 21 Operating rooms, including 9 that incorporated next generation cutting edge medical technology. A key challenge for EGG was several suites included technology that was first of their kind being installed in NYC – the EGG team applied our wealth of experience installing operating suites to approach these firsts, to made sure all the requirements were satisfied. We also coordinated and furnished various types of intricate fixtures for the entire building. Enna Sharma, Vice President at Egg, worked closely with the design team at HOK to coordinate the integration of these prototype light fixtures with the many different ceiling types on the various floors of the hospital. This careful coordination proved a great success, and the many electrical contractors participating in NY Koch Center’s construction could rest assured their fixture installations would be seamless.

Working with the Turner team to build this beautiful and challenging hospital was an incredibly rewarding achievement for the entire EGG Electric Team.
