Expanding over 300,000 SF in the center of NY’s East Village, the NY Headquarters for this prolific social media company features a dynamic and flexible open working space lit and powered by EGG Electric. Over multiple phases, EGG worked with both Structuretone and L&K partners to make 4 bustling floors in an existing landmark building a reality. The EGG Electric Team furnished complete fitout power, lighting and lighting controls for the facility, and installed multiple specialty areas of the project including a sky lit cafeteria, a roof deck, chill breakout areas, multiple kitchens, art spaces, and a multi-use presentation space with a custom fabricated ceiling AV power system.
The project challenges included a tight 3 month project schedule, as well as phased move-in dates for specific uses, and EGG responded to the challenge by fast tracking the installation by redundant teams working in parallel. The project also required active coordination of architectural details from the renowned firm of Gehry Partners, and EGG played a proactive role in inventing solutions for custom installations that fit the vision Gehry had for the space.
For the EGG Team, working with the media giant was deeply rewarding- and we were proud to have electric scope delivered on time at each phase of their expanding operation. Providing the fitout for a world renowned company was one of EGG Electric’s great successes.
